Chaplaincy

Trained chaplains serve at 15 locations within Texas and Louisiana, at hospitals, state institutions for mental health and mental retardation, health care centers and other special medical centers.

Additionally, LSS maintains chaplains in state and federal prisons. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice maintains chaplaincy service in each of its 100 plus units.
