Unplanned
Pregnancy Program
If you find yourself with
an unplanned pregnancy and are considering making an adoption plan for your child,
LSS staff will help you explore the choices and provide counsel and support.
This
includes:
 | individual
counseling at no cost to birthparents or family |
 | mutual
support from others who have faced and dealt with an unplanned pregnancy |
| assistance
in finding community resources |
Should
an adoption choice be made, LSS offers unique possibilities to place the child
in an adoptive home.
If circumstances
permit, birth parents may:
 | participate
in the final choice of adoptive parents for your baby |
 | spend
time with your baby after the birth |
 | name
your child on the original birth certificate |
 | stay
in touch through letters and pictures after your baby is placed |
 | meet
the adoptive family, if they agree |
 | obtain
continued counseling after placement |
The
LSS staff do not judge or pressure participants. They are available to help
review choices so expectant mothers can make decisions that are best for them,
the baby and the baby's father.
