Krause Volunteer Groups

Birthday Committee: Organizes monthly group birthday celebrations with cake and "small" gifts.

Birthday Gift Committee: Volunteers sign up to provide a birthday gift for a child when that child's birthday comes up.

Caring Critters: Bi-monthly animal therapy organization.

Clothes Closet Committee: Keep storage of donated clothes organized.

Crossroads Mentors: Mentors and residents meet once a week for an hour. (Training is required.)

Expanding Horizons/Art: Provide the children with the opportunity to experience different forms of art, theatre, creative writing, sculpting, dance, etc.

Garden Guardians: Fort Bend Master Gardeners work with the children on landscaping/gardening projects.

Incoming Angels: Provide new clothes for new residents as they arrive. Most new arrivals have only the clothes they are wearing. Much of the donated clothes don't fit.


Kozy Korner Points Store: Stock, organize and run a "store" where the children "spend" points earned thought good bahavior, reaching academic goals, etc.

Krause Community Partners: Absolutely Katy, Cold Stone Creamery, Don McGill Toyota and the Katy Chamber of Commerce.

Library Committee: Volunteers check books out and in for an hour or so afternoons and weekends.

National Charity League, Azalea Chapter: Mothers and daughters who volunteer as a team.

Quilters for Kids: Congregations in the surrounding areas provide quilts for each child as they arrive for treatment.

Stephen Ministers: These volunteers serve as lay ministers to children who ask for help with their spiritual lives.

Wednesday Night Prayer Committee: Volunteers pray with the residents.

Women's Aglow: Ministry to the children through prayer and worship.
