BP
presents check to Krause Children's Center
to help abused, neglected children
Nov.
3, 2006
KATY, Texas
-- Krause Children's Center for abused and neglected
children recently received $5, 710 from the BP Matching
Fund Program in recognition of BP's North America
Gas and Power Business Unit employees' partnership
with the center.
BP representatives
Sam Stone and Donna Pisani presented Krause Chief
Executive Officer Philippa Ashford with a check representing
the funds earned by the team's recent two-day service
project with the Krause Center.
The
gifts of time, talent and resources are truly blessings
for the Krause Childrens Center, Ashford
said. We are grateful to the dedicated BP employees
who volunteered their time and effort to work on the
center and mentor the children.
About
65 BP employees worked more than 570 hours on a two-day
service project at the Krause Center in June. The
volunteers painted more than 22,000 square feet of
classrooms, bathrooms and the gymnasium; built a fence,
constructed bookcases and spent time with the residents.
The next BP service project day at Krause is later
in November.
BP's North
America Gas and Power is a leading natural gas and
power marketing and trading entity. The BP Matching
