The
Village at Gleannloch Farms Appoints
Diann DiFrancesco as New Executive Director
January 24, 2008
SPRING, Texas
- Diann DiFrancesco
has joined The Village at Gleannloch Farms as the
new executive director of this retirement community.
Scheduled to open in June 2008, this Lutheran Social
Services sponsored community is the newest not-for-profit
continuous care retirement community (CCRC) in Northwest
Houston.
As executive director,
DiFrancesco will be responsible for the operations
and management of the community at all levels including
executive staffing and promotion of The Village at
Gleannloch Farms.
"This is
such a wonderful community and I am honored to join
the team. I have a passion for seniors and a special
affinity for the many decisions they have to make
as they enter retirement. My entire career has been
spent in this field and it's a joy to serve others.
I look forward to building strong relationships with
the residents and my staff at The Village at Gleannloch
Farms," said DiFrancesco.
DiFrancesco gained her
expertise in senior healthcare and nursing as administrator
and executive director at a number of notable senior
living communities such as The Woodlands Healthcare
Center and The Sterling of the Woodlands-both in The
Woodlands, Texas, where she held the positions of
administrator and general manager, respectively; and
The Forum at Memorial Woods in Houston, Texas, where
she was executive director. As one of the top administrators
of these skilled nursing centers, she focused on building
staff and family relationships and growing the communities
in terms of occupancy and brand esteem.
During her tenure as
executive director at The Forum at Memorial Woods,
she was one of 25 top executive directors selected
out of a group of 400 for the annual Sunrise Strategic
Task Force. This was a prestigious appointment by
Sunrise and the group selected focused on alternative
and innovative healthcare programs for seniors.
An East Coast native,
DiFrancesco attended the State University of New York,
College of Technology in Utica, New York, where she
received a bachelor of professional studies in health
services management. DiFrancesco is active in community
and social services and enjoys outdoor activities
including golf and scuba diving.
The Village at Gleannloch Farms is a not-for-profit
