Senior Vice President for External Relations

AUSTIN,
Texas - Mark Minick has been promoted to
senior vice president for external relations for Lutheran
Social Services.
"I've been fortunate to be part of LSS as it
has evolved in its missions and ministries over the
past decade," said Minick. "I'm proud to
be with an agency that gives strength to the communities
we serve, and look forward to being a part of the
solution to whatever new challenges we face."
Minick, who joined LSS in 1999 as director of development,
has more than 20 years of management, fund raising,
and disaster response experience. He is responsible
for overseeing disaster response, public relations
and spiritual care.
Minick received his bachelor's degree in business
from UT Austin and his master's degree in management
from UT - Arlington.
Lutheran Social Services of the South, Inc., is the
social service arm of The Lutheran Church - Missouri
Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
LSS annually serves nearly 35,000 children, elderly
and poor in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi regardless
of religious beliefs, ethnicity, gender or age. Its
ministry includes disaster response, children's centers,
therapeutic foster care, adoption, adult day care,
health care and retirement centers and emergency assistance.
