A Special Messagefrom Dr. Kurt Senske President & CEO Lutheran Social Services |
LSSDR needs your help to bring aid and comfort to the victims of these disasters. Please consider reaching out to them by giving today to support our disaster response efforts. DONATE HERE! (Thrivent Members: See Below, right)
Lutheran Social Services Disaster Response (LSSDR) has a long history of leadership in responding to natural disasters. Three years ago, when Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas, LSSDR organized, housed and fed 36,000 volunteers who cleaned out, repaired and rebuilt more than 10,000 homes. This year, three hurricanes made landfall along the U.S. coast from Galveston to southeast Louisiana and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. LSSDR is responding again, and this time the extensive damage left covers a much greater area. All online donations are eligible for supplemental funding by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. |
